“Every cloud has a silver lining” is an idiomatic expression in English meaning that there is usually something positive to be found in every situation, even when it seems overwhelmingly negative.

Origin. It was first penned in 1634 by John Milton when he wrote: “Was I deceived or did a sable cloud Turn forth her silver lining on the night.” It probably is traced back to this saying. We use the expression to say that no matter how bad something appears at the moment, something better will be around the corner.

“A flag is a necessity for all nations. Millions have died for it. It is no doubt a kind of idolatry which would be a sin to destroy. For, a flag represents an Ideal The unfurling of the Union Jack evokes in the English breast sentiments whose strength it is difficult to measure. The Stars and Stripes mean a world to the Americans. The Star and the Crescent will call forth the best bravery in Islam.”

The National flag of India is a horizontal tricolor of deep saffron (kesari) at the top, white in the middle and dark green at the bottom in equal proportion. The ratio of width of the flag to its length is two to three. In the centre of the white band is a navy blue wheel which represents the chakra”.

The saffron represents renunciation.

The white represents the path of truth to guide us.

The green shows our relation to the plant life and the earth.

The Ashoka Chakra denotes the Dharma, or righteousness, and also change, as there is life in change and death in stagnation.

The true meaning of the flag of India, is that it unites all the people in the country irrespective of region, religion, position and age in life. It is not simply a dyed or printed ‘piece of cloth’ for it represents the ‘soul of the nation’. The green represents the natural wealth of the country – forests, trees and the green cover. The saffron represents the will to sacrifice, to give and to endure on in all situations and conditions and the white represents purity, clarity and unity. The blue circle signifies time as it reminds those who see it to respect their resources and time wisely so that they can gain the most from all situations.

These Colours represent following:

Saffron: courage and selflessness

White: honesty, purity and peace

Green: Prosperity, Faith and fertility

And Ashoka chakra represents Unity of our states.

The color silver has a feminine energy; it is related to the moon and the ebb and flow of the tides – it is fluid, emotional, sensitive and mysterious. It is soothing, calming and purifying.

From a color psychology viewpoint, it signals a time of reflection and a change of direction as it illuminates the way forward. It helps with the cleansing and releasing of mental, physical and emotional issues and blockages as it opens new doors and lights the way to the future.

With its reflective and sensitive qualities silver inspires intuition, clairvoyance and mental telepathy. It reflects back any energy given out, whether it is positive or negative.
